Our governance arrangements are designed to clarify roles and responsibilities as well as promote accountability and high standards of integrity, when discharging our duties and conducting our operations. These arrangements are set out by statute – in the Central Bank of Malaysia Act 2009 and other laws that BNM administers – as well as internal policies developed within the institution over the years. In certain areas, the responsibility for decision-making is placed beyond the direct remit of the BNM Board of Directors or Management team. Instead, these matters are reserved for specific statutory committees.
